DIARY TO PRINT

! IMPORTANT UPDATES !

CUSTOM EVENT FALLS ON DAY BRITISH SUMMER TIME STARTS/ENDS

THE PROBLEM:

If you have a custom event that spans the day on which British Summer Time starts or ends the custom event does not print for the days after the Sunday on which British Summer Time starts or ends.

THE SOLUTION:

The diary is undergoing a complete revision and this problem will be corrected in the next release.

A work around is possible. You can add a custom event for the Sunday on which British Summer Time starts or ends, this event can be for the one day or it can be for the days leading up to and including the Sunday. You then need to add a second custom event starting from the following Monday. When printed it will appear to be a continuos event spanning several days.

! POSSIBLE INCORRECT DATES ON DIARY PRINTED BEFORE 20th FEB 2009 !

THE PROBLEM:

I have discovered a bug in the diary program that causes British Summer Time to be handled incorrectly from Sunday 25th October 2009.

If you have produced a pdf file (and possibly printed the diary) with dates beyond Sunday 25th October 2009 you will see that Monday 26th October actually appears as Monday 25th October, subsequent dates are also incorrect i.e.: Tuesday is shown as the 26th, Wednesday as 27th etc.

The programme has now been corrected so any future pdf files will contain the correct dates.

THIS PROBLEM ONLY AFFECTS DIARYS PRINTED PRIOR TO 20th FEB 2009 WHEN THE BUG WAS FIXED

ACTION YOU NEED TO TAKE:

If you have not produced a diary beyond Sunday 25th October 2009 you need do nothing more.

If you have produced the pdf file for dates beyond Sunday 25th October 2009 you should delete that file and produce another one.

PROCEDURE:

If you have already printed the entire diary including the affected dates then please note that YOU DO NOT need to print the entire diary again. Only the dates from Monday 26th October. (In practice you will probably choose to print from Friday 23rd October due to the double sided printing).

If you have produced the diary AND made appointments for dates after 25th October you will need to check those appointments to ensure that they are for the correct date.

My sincere apologies to anyone who has already printed the affected pages. I used the diary for the whole of last year without any problem before making it available publicly, unfortunately I had to change the way diary was produced to ensure that everyone can access it and it was in this process that the bug crept in.

If you experience any problems with this procedure, or if you have suggestions for future changes please email me using the contact form
